NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir are making history with the first-ever all-female spacewalk.
The roughly five-hour spacewalk officially began at 7:38 this morning (10/18/19) to replace a faulty battery unit outside the International Space Station.
Koch and Meir become the 13th and 14th U.S. women to conduct a spacewalk. Meir gave credit to “all of the women that worked to get us where we are today”.
Did you ever dream of becoming an astronaut when you were a kid? Will this inspire more young girls to head to space?
