Lauren Alaina says her life right now is practicing for Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) and writing songs.
When it was announced Lauren would be part of the cast for season 28 of reality dancing competition, she decided to go all in. She postponed her headlining “That Girl Was Me Tour” until 2020.
The singer-songwriter says practicing for the show consumes almost every waking hour of her day.
“Well, we practiced every day pretty much for like five hours a day. Just like when I’m not at the studio, I’ll literally wake up in the night, and I’m going through the dance moves in my head. It’s all I think about it. All I think about is dancing and songwriting ideas. So, that’s my life right now, counting to eight and trying to come up with songs,” Lauren says with a laugh.
Lauren is no stranger to reality show competitions. She was the runner-up on season 10 of American Idol.
Another American Idol alum also competed on DWTS. Kellie Pickler finished in sixth place on Idol in season five of the show. Kellie won season 16 of DWTS.
Lauren is hoping to be the second country music, American Idol alum to claim the Mirror Ball Trophy on DWTS.
You can watch Lauren Alaina on Dancing With The Stars Monday nights at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on ABC.
Good Luck Lauren, we’re all cheering for you!
