Carson is a college football fan who held up a sign on national TV asking for beer money, but instead ended up with thousands of dollars that he is donating to a children’s hospital.
Carson was joking with his buddies when he held up the sign asking for beer money during ESPN’s “College GameDay” taping last weekend. He even added his Venmo account in hopes that at least one random person might throw him $20.
“Busch Light Supply Needs Replenished…Venmo Carson-King-25”
.@CarsonKing2 this is the best thing we have read all year, we’re inspired.
We’re going to match your donation to University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, and we’ll throw in some of that Busch Light you were looking for. https://t.co/NPPrPp6zJg

We see a lot of great stories, but this is one of our favs @CarsonKing2. Count us in for matching the donation to the hospital, too. #ftk💛@BuschBeer @CollegeGameDay https://t.co/thS8JXOXC3

What have you done for beer money?
In college I sold my flute so I could have money to go out with my friends. Definitely wasn’t worth the $40 I got from the pawn shop, but I learned my lesson. My story is boring compared to 24 year old Carson King.
