The next set of wives to get their own reality show are from the racing world as Racing Wives premiers this week on CMT.

The “real housewives” franchise has spread across many, many cities. Now some of NASCAR‘s biggest names will see their wives on TV as the stars themselves.

CMT touts the show this way,

Racing Wives follows the daily lives of Samantha Busch, Ashley Busch, driver Amber Balcaen, Whitney Ward Dillon and her best friend Mariel Lane in Lake Norman, N.C., where the who’s who of stock car racing live. The series goes inside the personal and professional lives of the women as they support their husbands, friends and one another, both on and off the raceway.

The series was originally set to start last January. However, it was postponed.

The show premiers this Friday, August 2nd on CMT.
