Kenny Chesney is dropping a new song called “Tip Of My Tongue” Friday (7/12) and B104 will have the World Premier!
Faith and Hunter in the Morning will have your first chance to hear the song that Kenny co-wrote with Ross Copperman and Ed Sheeran. B104 will continue to give you the chance to hear the new song all day Friday and throughout the weekend!
The song is from Kenny’s forthcoming 18th studio album, which will be released via Blue Chair/Warner Music Nashville. Kenny says of the song,
“It’s really interesting where a figure of speech can lead you when you’re in the creative process. I sat down with Ross Copperman and Ed Sheeran, two guys that I really truly respect as songwriters … and we sat down one afternoon and it was just a blast writing ‘Tip Of My Tongue’. I had the idea written down for a while, but didn’t really know where to take it, you know, ’cause it is an authentic story in my life and idea in my life about connection … and it took us a couple of hours and once we got into the idea of the song and started exploring … the song in a lot of ways wrote itself … it really did because it was just such a fun writing session with two guys i really respect. It’s always good to write with people you don’t necessarily write with all the time. I’ve written a lot of songs with Ross Copperman but Ed and I had never written together. You know, we have a lot of similarities in our life and what we do for a living but we never sat down in a room together to write a song and “Tip Of My Tongue” is the end result.”
Listen for the World Premier of “Tip Of My Tongue” by Kenny Chesney Friday, July 12th on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country, B104!
