Last night was the season finale for season 16 of The Voice. Blake Shelton had three members of Team Blake in the final four: Gyth Rigdon, Andrew Sevener and Dexter Roberts. John Legend had a single member of Team Legend up for the win, Maelyn Jarmon.
Before the results were revealed, there were many performances in the two-hour season ending episode. Some of the favorites from the season returned for some group performances, Some of the biggest names in music performed. The final four got to join some the superstars for collaborative performances. The show ended with the results for the finale being revealed. Andrew Sevener (Team Blake) was announced as the fourth place artist. Third place was revealed to be Dexter Roberts (Team Blake). That meant the winner would come down to Gyth Rigdon (Team Blake) and Maelyn Jarmon (Team Legend).
Maelyn Jarmon brought John Legend his first win in his first year as a coach on The Voice.
While Blake did not get his seventh win as a coach, Gyth gave him his eighth runner-up finish as a coach.
It has already been revealed that Blake, John, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine will all be returning as the coaches for season 17.
Congratulations to all of the final four on a great accomplishment and step forward in their careers. Of course huge congratulations are due to Maelyn Jarmon on being named the winner of The Voice Season 16!
