This week was the new round of competition on The Voice … the Cross Battles. How did Team Blake fair with Blake Shelton in season 16 of the show?

In this new round on the hit singing competition reality TV show each remaining artist is pitted in a head-to-head against a member of another team. The artist that gets the most votes from America in the pairing advances on the show. Each coach gets one “Steal” and one “Save” during this round.

Blake had four artists perform Monday night (4/15) in this first week of the Cross Battles. Three of those artists won their head-to-head pairing; Kim Cherry, Oliv Blue (whom Blake stole from John Legend in the Battle Round) and Dexter Roberts. Watch their performances below.

Blake’s artist Selkii did not get the most votes in her head-to-head Cross Battle. However, Blake chose to use his “Save” to keep her in the competition on Team Blake. Watch her performance below.

The Cross Battles will conclude with the final pairings of head-to-head competition Monday, April 22nd starting at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
