Deadpool Celebrates First Day As a Disney Character

It is now official (as of Wednesday morning at 12:01 am) that Disney now owns much of what used to be 21st Century Fox and the $71 billion deal includes many of 21st Century Fox’s movie characters and TV shows. You can read about more of the specifics HERE.

That means that The Simpsons, The X-Men, and of course Deadpool are now members of the house of mouse. Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds poked fun at the move with this twitter post…

Fans worried about films like Deadpool being taken down a notch from an R rating to PG-13 rating should fear not though! Disney has already said that the next Deadpool film will continue to have the R rating. Will we see Deadpool and the other X-Men team up with the Avengers in an upcoming film? One can only hope!
