It’s hard to believe that these two musical legends have never shared the stage before, but Saturday night that all changed when Willie Nelson and George Strait took the stage with an original new song.

George started to play an original new song talking about how he’d never played with Willie before. As he sang “I ain’t never got to sing one with Willie,” Willie finally chimed in with, “I think it’s great to finally sing one with Strait, and our fans will all love it, I know.”

The evening also included performances from Chris Stapleton, Alison Krauss, Dave Matthews, Sheryl Crow, Kris Kristofferson, John Mellencamp, Eric Church, and more. It will be aired later this year on the A&E Network, so stay tuned.
