The season 15 finale of The Voice was last night (12/18).
Blake Shelton had two artists in the running with Kirk Jay and Chris Krueze from Team Blake.
Kelly Clarkson was represented with Chevel Shepherd from Team Kelly.
Jennifer Hudson‘s Team JHud member in the Top 4 was the youngest to ever make the finals on the show, Kennedy Holmes.
The two-hour season finale followed the performances from the night before. The four artists had to hope they earned enough votes from those performances to win the show. Before they would find out who indeed was the winner, there were many performances.
The show started with Kennedy Holmes getting to perform with musical superstar Kelly Rowland.
Kirk Jay got to live a dream as he joined country music stars Rascal Flatts for a performance.
The iconic Doobie Brothers invited Chris Kroeze to perform with them on the show.
Chevel Shepherd got to join country music duo Dan + Shay to perform their #1 song as of this week, “Speechless.”
There were other performances on the show that I have not shared here. You can watch them at The Voice‘s YouTube channel here or the shows official website here.
Finally it was time to find out who the winner of The Voice Season 15 was. It was first revealed that Kennedy Holmes was the artist in fourth place. Next we found out that Kirk Jay came in third.
With just two remaining it was time to reveal the winner…
That makes two back-to-back wins out of two seasons on the show for coach Kelly Clarkson.
Season 16 of the hit singing competition will premiere Monday, February 25, 2019. Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson will be joined by first-time coach John Legend this time around.
Congratulations to Chevel Shepherd on winning season 15 of The Voice!
