The Knockouts came to and end last night for season 15 of The Voice. Who were the final artist Blake Shelton kept on Team Blake for the Live Shows?
Blake started the night with two battles left in the Knockout Rounds for his team. The first Team Blake pairing was between Colton Smith (whom he stole from Jennifer Hudson’s team in the Battle Rounds) and Kirk Jay.
Colton chose the song “Lady Marmalade” for his performance. The song is quite the challenge and he had some technical issues during the performance. However, he kept on performing like a professional.
Kirk Jay chose Brett Young‘s “In Case You Didn’t Know for his performance. He also decided to show his ability to play the keyboard during the performance that was full of emotion.
Blake expressed that he felt the technical issue was handle well by Colton. He didn’t factor that into his decision to keep Kirk Jay on Team Blake for the Live Shows. Colton was not sent home as Jennifer used her ‘Steal” to bring him back to Team JHud.
The final performance of the Knockouts was Blake’s pairing of Chris Kroeze and Michael Lee.
Chris decided to show his flexibility by performing the country hit “Burning House” by female country music singer Cam. His range and power was very evident in his performance.
Michael chose to sing the bluesy-rock song “Whipping Post” by the Allman Brothers. He also showed power and plenty of emotion in his performance.
Blake knew both artists deserved to remain on the show. He literally flipped a coin to decide who the winner was. The coin toss declared Michael the winner so Blake used his last remaining “Save” to keep Chris on the show. Both artists move to the Live Shows on Team Blake.
On the online feature “The Comeback Stage” Kelsea Ballerini cut six artists down to the three over the past several weeks. Ayanna Joni, Lynnea Morrer and Wyatt Rivers earned the chance to compete for America’s vote with a shot at the final spot in the Live Shows. Check out the three performances here and find out which two get to move forward.
Kelsea chose to move forward with Lynnea and Ayanna having the chance to compete for America’s vote.
Blake Shelton heads to the Live Shows with Team Blake members Michael Lee, Dave Fenley, Chris Kroeze, Kirk Jay, Funsho (stolen from Adam) and Natasia GreyCloud (stolen from Kelly). See where all the teams stand at the official website of The Voice here.
The Live Shows of The Voice Season 15 begin Monday, November 12th at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC. That is when the power shifts from the coaches to America’s vote to determine who remains on the show and who goes home.
