Rising country music star Carly Pearce tries not to say “no” when it comes to something that could be an opportunity to grow as a person and as an artist.
The singer-songwriter is seeing her career take traction pretty quickly. Last year her debut single “Every Little Thing” hit #1 on the country radio airplay charts. The song is the title track of her debut studio album available everywhere now.
The second single from album titled “Hide The Wine” is climbing the charts at #17 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles chart and #21 on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart this week. In this song Carly sings about having a hard time saying no to an old flame. However, that is not the kind of situation she doesn’t want to say no to.
Carly has been out on tour in the past year or so with Brett Young, Luke Bryan and Rascal Flatts.
To say she has been experiencing new things as a person and an artist would be an understatement. That is just the way she wants it. She feels these new experiences help her grow so she tries not to say no to doing them.
“I’ve learned little things along the way that if I wouldn’t have said yes, I don’t know who I would be right now.” Carly admits.
The power in doing new things is something that Carly thinks goes down to the depths of who she is.
“I don’t know if I would have the confidence,” she shares.
That confidence transfers into who she is as an artist and song writer in Carly’s calculation.
“I don’t know that I would have the songs, I don’t know that I would have the artistic direction that I have now,” she states, “So, I always will keep that mindset of being open to anything.”
Well that open mind seems to be working so keep it up Carly!
