Last week we lost Aretha Franklin. The influence the musical icon had crossed all genres. This was apparent by the messages posted by country music stars the day the news broke that we had lost the legend.

One of the artists that was really impacted by the loss of the icon was country music superstar Miranda Lambert. The day after the passing of Aretha Franklin Miranda was doing a concert on her co-headlining “The Bandwagon Tour” with Little Big Town.

It was during that concert that Miranda decided to perform a tribute to the “Queen Of Soul.” CountryRebel.com reports that the country music icon told the audience, “We lost one of the greatest singers in the world yesterday, there’s not going to be another woman who sings like Aretha in our lifetime.”

She then proceeded to pay tribute by belting out a rendition of the song “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man” that I am sure Aretha would be proud of.
