Dustin Lynch got so excited about the song “Good Girl” when he co-wrote it that he just couldn’t wait to share it with the world.
Dustin was out on the Brad Paisley “Weekend Warrior World Tour” and had a couple of his writing buddies with him, Justin Ebach and Andy Albert. The three wrote the song “Good Girl” together and Dustin knew the song was something special right away.
“I had a gut reaction and a feeling of ‘Holy crap, this feels so awesome and it feels like the world needs to hear it right now’,” he explains.
It had been a bit since the singer-songwriter had that feeling about a song.
“I haven’t had that feeling since ‘Small Town Boy’ so, it’s been awhile since I’ve had such a passionate reaction to a song,” Dustin confesses, “We said, ‘What the heck, let’s just put it out, why not?'”
Dustin apparently convinced his record label to change singles from “I’d Be Jealous Too” which was from his current album Current Mood and approaching the top 30 on country airplay charts to the new song “Good Girl” that he was so passionate about that will be on a forthcoming project.
