Jordan Davis talks about fulfilling a lifelong dream at his Grand Ole Opry debut in this NASH Network exclusive.
The past year has been an exciting one for the singer-songwriter from Louisiana. He has released his debut Home State that is available everywhere now.
His debut single from that album “Singles You Up” reached number one on the singles charts for country radio airplay.
And last Saturday, May 12th, Jordan made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry.
When it comes to country music Jordan understands the importance of that hallowed stage.
“The Mecca is the Grand Ole Opry,” he states of country music.
He also holds reverence for getting to perform in “The Circle.”
“Standing on that stage being a country music fan,” Jordan shares, “(if) you can’t feel something and most of the time it may be ‘What am I doing here,’ I don’t know if you should be out there.”
How much of an honor was it for Jordan to be a guest artist at the Grand Ole Opry?
“It’s so much bigger than your song or anything that you’ve ever done,” he confesses.
Congratulations to Jordan on his Grand Ole Opry debut! I’m sure this is just one more career milestone of many to come for him.
You can see Jordan Davis live in concert when he comes to the State Farm Center as part of Jake Owen‘s “Life’s Whatcha Make It Tour” along with Chis Janson Friday, September 7th. Get concert and ticket details here.
