Last night (4/9) the Knockout Rounds came to an end on season 14 of The Voice. Who did Blake Shelton choose and steal for Team Blake?
Blake started the night with one pairing and a steal left to use. For his pairing he had Wilkes and Dylan Hartigan whom he stole from Team Kelly during the Battle Rounds.
Dylan chose to sing the song “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne for his performance. Dylan did a really good job of not just singing the song, but performing it.
Wilkes chose Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” for his performance. It was a bold choice to choose such a well-known song by the female pop star. However, he more than delivered making the song his own and showing an amazing vocal range in the process.
It was a difficult decision, but Blake chose to keep Wilkes on Team Blake moving to the live shows on The Voice.
Kelly Clarkson was battling with the decision of stealing Dylan back or not. With a little prodding from Blake she did press her button to keep Dylan on the show by bringing him back to Team Kelly.
Adam Levine paired two amazing vocalist from his team in Gary Edwards and Rayshun LaMarr.
Gary performed Jimmy Cliff’s “Many Rivers to Cross” with great style, vocal ability and feeling in his performance.
Rayshun made a bold choice by singing “Fallin'” by season 14 coach Alicia Keys. He impressed Alicia and everybody with his interpretation of the hit song.
Adam ultimately chose to keep Raysun on his team leaving Gary available for Blake to steal and he did just that.
Blake Shelton heads to next week’s live shows with Kyla Jade, Pryor Baird, Austin Giorgio (Blake’s “Save”), Spensha Baker, Wiles and Gary Edwards (Blake’s “Steal”).
You can see how all of the teams stand heading to the live shows next week at the official website of The Voice here.
Tonight (4/10) will be a special “behind the scenes” episode of The Voice season 14 with the live shows beginning Monday, April 16th at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
