The Blind Auditions continued last night (3/5) on season 14 of The Voice. Who did Blake Shelton add to Team Blake?
Blake started the night with three artists on his team, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys started with three on their respective teams as well. New coach Kelly Clarkson began the night with five artists after a great first week of Blind Auditions for Team Kelly.
When Brett Hunter took the stage he performed the song “She’s a Bad Mama Jama” by Carl Carlton. His performance brought to mind Tiny Tim and his song “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” which Blake referred to and Kelly had no idea what he was talking about. Since Blake was the only coach to press his button Brett became a member of Team Blake.
Austin Giorgio put his “Rat Pack” style to work on Michael Bublé‘s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You).” The personal touches Austin used on the song made it sound unlike any rendition I have ever heard before, but still had the right feel to it for what the song is. Austin’s unique approach motivated Blake to hit his button and a while later Kelly too pressed.
I think it may be that Austin knows Blake is good friends with Michael Bublé that helped guide him to choose to join Team Blake.
Blake added these two artists to his roster to bring Team Blake to a total of five artists.
Adam, Alicia and Kelly all added three artists each to their teams giving Team Adam and Team Alicia a total of six artists each. Team Kelly remains in the lead for most artists with a total of eight members.
The Blind Auditions continue tonight (3/6) starting at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on The Voice Season 14 on NBC.
