Reba McEntire is returning to the stage of the 53rd ACM Awards Show as the host and she says it’s always like a “family reunion.”
This will be Reba’s 15th time serving as host for the annual ACM Awards Show. The country music icon says she is looking forward to getting together with her “country music family” in Las Vegas.
“Oh, when I get to the award show when I go out to Las Vegas, we’re all pretty much staying in the same hotel,” she shares. “So, we get to visit and we’re talking and reminiscing, and it’s just like a family reunion. So, that’s my favorite part of the award show before it gets started.”
Reba is no stranger to being on the stage or even on the screen, big and small, as she has co-starred in movies and even starred in her own sitcom. However, there is something different about being on live TV. “The adrenaline of the show the night of the show,” Reba confesses, “It’s … we’re either running short [or], running long, [we need to] adjust, make sure that I am on my mark and I have everything ready to go.”
There’s something about that adrenaline and live TV that makes the experience special, “I love live television because you never know what’s going to happen,” Reba admits.
Yesterday (3/1) Reba revealed the nominees for the 2018 ACM Awards. Find out who got those nominations here.
We’ll get to watch as Reba hosts the 53rd Annual ACM Awards Show Sunday, April 15th Live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8/7 central on CBS TV.
