Maren Morris has had a week of celebrating as she enjoyed her bachelorette party and celebrated her #1 song “I Could Use A Love Song” in Nashville this week.
Yesterday (2/21) Maren got to enjoy her first ever number one party for a solo chart topper. She was a part of the #1 song “Craving You” with Thomas Rhett, but “I Could Use A Love Song” was Maren’s first trip to the top of the country radio singles charts with a song she recorded as a solo act.
Prior to the celebration of Maren’s career milestone, she shared what it meant to her to have this song top the charts during this very special time of her life, “I think the song sort of made my dream come true because, obviously, I fell in love after it was written.” Maren co-wrote the song with Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz.
“I never thought it would be [the] song that would be my first [#1],” Maren confesses, “but I’m so so thankful that it is because I got to write it with two of my best friends, and we’re never gonna forget this moment in our careers.”
The #1 party was held at The Crying Wolf bar in East Nashville, where Maren actually shot the cover for her debut album Hero and also held the album release party.
Earlier in the week Maren had some fun at her own bachelorette party. “It just turned into the most amazingly cliché girl night. Just dancing to ‘[The] Time of My Life’ … or attempting the Patrick Swayze lift,” Maren shares, “It was perfect.”
