Blake Shelton will have help from his friend Trace Adkins when it comes to coaching Team Blake for season 14 of The Voice.
Blake is the reigning coach heading into the new season of the hit reality singing competition. He also has the most wins as a coach having coached the winner in six of the 13 seasons so far.
According to E! News, when it comes time to get his team ready for the Battle Rounds, Blake’s good friend and fellow country star Trace Adkins will serve as the advisor for Team Blake.
Blake and Trace have been friends for many years. Trace was featured on Blake’s #1 song “Hillbilly Bone” which also won the 2010 ACM Award for Vocal Event of the Year and has since become one of Blake’s signature songs.
Trace even got to be the person that invited Blake to be a member of The Grand Ole Opry. Trace talked about that while on the Queen Latifa show a few years back (video seen at the top of the page).
Trace will also be joining his friend on the road this year as part of Blake Shelton’s “Country Music Freaks Tour.”
I hope the cast and staff know what they could be getting themselves into by putting these two together on the set of The Voice.
I will be looking forward to seeing Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins together coaching Team Blake when season 14 of The Voice starts Monday, February 26th.
