Brett Young gets to start off the new year where he ended 2017 … at #1 with his single “Like I Loved You.”

While the radio airplay charts shut down for a couple of weeks officially during the holidays at the end of the year, the Billboard automatic detection system still works and that gives us in radio the Billboard Country Airplay singles charts through that shut down period.

Brett’s song topped the final chart of 2017 last week to give him his second #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. That chart was sent to radio for the first time in 2018 today and Brett still sits in the number one position with “Like I Loved You” for a second week in a row.

This marks Brett’s third #1 single out of three released from his debut, self-titled album.

Sleep Without You” became his first number one when it topped the Mediabase Country Aircheck singles chart in late 2016.

In Case You Didn’t Know” hit the pinnacle of the Country Aircheck and Billboard charts in May of 2017.

Brett thinks that the subject in his now two-week chart topping song “Like I Loved You” is one most can relate to, “I think the concept of having somebody break your heart and then having the audacity to say, ‘I really hope we can still be friends,’ I think that’s something that everybody’s familiar with.”

Congratulations to Brett Young on his third #1 single “Like I Loved You.”
