Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will go into the Country Music Hall of Fame together!
The two country music icons got married in October of 1996. Since then they have become country music’s power couple. Each has enjoyed very successful careers independently in country music.
They have also enjoyed musical success as a couple releasing their first duet “It’s Your Love” in 1997, the year after they got married. The song spent six weeks at #1 on the country charts. The couple has released numerous other duets over the years that appeared on their solo albums.
The couple have also toured together on the “Soul2Soul Tour” in 2000, again on the “Soul2Soul II Tour” in 2006 and again currently on the “Soul2Soul World Tour.”
This Friday, November 17th a new exhibit will open in the Country Music Hall of Fame titled “Tim McGraw & Faith Hill: Mississippi Woman, Louisiana Man.” The exhibit will chronicle Tim and Faith’s parallel singing careers that started in adjacent states and merged in Nashville. Their lives and careers as husband and wife will be featured in the exhibit as well.
The exhibit will also include several sentimental artifacts from the couple’s lives, including Faith’s actual wedding gown and the mirror from Tim’s dressing room, upon which he proposed to Faith, and she accepted.
Friday will be a big day for Tim and Faith. Not only does the Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit open, it is also the day that their first collaborative album is released. The Rest Of Our Life by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill features 11 duets by the couple including the previously released song “Speak To a Girl” and the current single and title track of the project.
Friday night is also the premier of the “Tim and Faith: Soul2Soul” concert film on Showtime. The film was recorded during their current concert tour and will include live performances, never before seen interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, all showing the chemistry between Tim and Faith on and off the stage.
Congratulations to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on their successful life and career together. Best of luck to you on your BIG day Friday, November 17th!
