I don’t know why, but I was thinking about this the other day. Since it is #FlashbackFriday I decided to find the video and share it with you to watch again.
This happened just over six years ago. Luke Bryan was one of the openers for Tim McGraw on his 2011 “Emotional Traffic Tour.”
We could also talk about what a difference a handful of years can make with Luke going from being an opening act to now headlining major tours and stadium shows. However, that is not what this particular blog is about.
Back to the story I began with. Luke took his vintage Ford Bronco on tour to have the ability to drive around at tour stops and have some fun. Tim decided to have some fun with Luke via one of his prized possessions.
Tim hired a local artist in the Mountain View, California area to come to the venue while Luke was on stage at the Shoreline Amphitheater. The artist used paint that washes off to put graffiti all over the yellow Bronco.
When Luke came off stage and walked back to where he had parked his vehicle he saw what had happened. What is great is that while Luke laughed about it with Tim, you could tell that he was nervous about whether or not it was temporary paint. He was concerned enough that he finally walked up to the Bronco and checked with his own finger.
I have to say this is one of the best pranks ever played between country music artists that I have personally ever seen … STILL! Well played Tim McGraw, well played.
Watch the prank Tim McGraw played on Luke Bryan in the video from June 16, 2011 at the top of the page for some #FlashbackFriday fun!
