Country singer-songwriter Thomas Rhett is excited to serve as a celebrity judge for Sunday’s Miss America competition.
Ladies representing each state of the United States of America will compete live in the Miss America 2018 competition this Sunday, September 10th starting at 8 PM central time (9 PM eastern time) on ABC TV.
Thomas Rhett will be a part of the broadcast as a celebrity judge for the event and he is excited to be following some of his fellow country music stars that have served in that capacity.
“That’s gonna be interesting,” he admits, “I got to watch…I think Cole Swindell did it last year and then Brett Eldredge has done it before, so [I’m] following in good footsteps, and hopefully I can just read the question very good.”
Is Thomas Rhett worried about fulfilling the judging aspects of his role? “Yeah, I don’t know how much judging is actually involved,” he confesses, “But, I get to read some questions and get to evaluate the answers.”
I’m sure he will do a fine job at whatever his responsibilities are at the Miss America 2018 competition this Sunday.
Thomas Rhett will be on the other side of “competition” in November as he is nominated for three CMA Awards. He is up for Male Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year for “Craving You” featuring Maren Morris and Music Video of the Year for “Craving You” featuring Maren Morris.
We will get to find out if he wins any of those awards when the 51st CMA Awards airs Live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Wednesday, November 8th at 8:00 PM/ET also on ABC TV. For the 10th year in a row Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will co-host the CMA Awards Show.
