Jake Owen‘s dad, Steve, has come a long way after battling cancer and it amazes the country music star.
Jake revealed that his father was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2013. Steve has received radiation treatments at the Mayo Clinic to battle the deadly disease. How is he doing just two years later?
Jake posted a video on his Instagram account of his father wake surfing (pictured to the right) along with the message: “Proud of my 64 yr old Dad who beat cancer 2 years ago.. From a hospital bed and radiation to wake surfing with family for the first time!” You can watch the video by clicking here.
Jake’s latest single is “Real Life” and can be heard on B104. The song is about the things people deal with in everyday life. Looks like to me that the country music star is dealing with what many everyday people deal with in “Real Life” and he’s sharing it with us.
