Miranda Lambert‘s new single will be “Smokin’ and Drinkin’” featuring Little Big Town. She says recording with the Grammy winning group is not fair.

The song is from Miranda’s award winning #1 album Platinum which also features a duet with Carrie Underwood called “Somethin’ Bad.”

Miranda says of recording with Little Big Town for the album; “It’s not really fair to add Little Big Town because you are immediately cooler. You automatically have bragging rights if you can say you sang with Little Big Town.”

The reigning CMA and ACM Female Vocalist of the Year admits that she not only respects the group as a professional peer, but also admits she is a fan; “I’m a huge fan of theirs as well. I’m a country fan period, I listen to country radio, I’m kind of a germ about it.”

Miranda knows that because of her job she gets some amazing opportunities as a country music fan and artist; “I have two of my favorite artist on this record with me, Carrie and Little Big Town. I get to hang out with friends and also I’m their fan and they’re doing duets with me on this album, it’s crazy.”

Miranda teamed with Little Big Town for a live performance of the song “Smokin’ and Drinkin'” last fall on the CMA Awards Show. Watch their performance in the video below.
