Tyler Farr has released a very powerful music video for his new single “Withdrawals.”
The song is the next single from Tyler’s latest album Suffer In Peace which is availabel everywhere.
The new music video isn’t powerful because it features major special effects, lights or even big name stars making appearances. In fact, it is powerful because it features just a single person … Tyler himself.
The song relates getting over feelings so deep for a person that it is like kicking an addiction to some kind of powerful drug. I feel like the music video for “Withdrawals” captures that personal struggle perfectly.
Tyler is in a glass box through the video as he sings and struggles with feeling trapped by the need for this lost love. Anybody that has ever had to get over an addiction to just about anything should be able to relate to that feeling and struggle.
While may people may think that I don’t have deep thoughts, this next observance may change your mind. What I found quite profound symbolically was the manner in which Tyler finally “escaped” the box was by smashing the glass with his guitar. To me that shows that often it is music that a person can find comfort in and ultimately use as a vehicle through life’s struggles.
Congratulations to Tyler Farr and Eric Welch (director) on a powerful music video for “Withdrawals.”
