[WATCH]Top Gun 2, Sprider-Man, and A Monsters Universe! Check Out This Movie News!

Boy oh Boy! Yesterday was a fun day of movie news! First, to what may have been the biggest news of the day yesterday, Tom Cruise was promoting his new movie The Mummy (more on that movie later) on a morning TV show in Australia when they asked him about the movie we have wanted a sequel to since 1986…

If Tom says it’s true, then it must be true! So let’s break out the Kenny Loggins music! We’re taking the highway to the danger zone! Top Gun 2, ya’ll! Okay, I’m just a little excited for this. Can you blame me though? You and I both know that you an quote the whole movie too! We can assume that if the movie is going to start filming within the next year, we are probably looking at a 2019 release. So…we have some time to wait. But! There is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Moving on now to more movie news, and to the actual reason that Tom Cruise was on that Australian morning show, the new ‘Dark Universe’ movies! Essentially, this is a collection of connected monster movies starting with Cruise’s The Mummy that opens June 9. In an press release earlier this week, it was announced that Johnny Depp will be ‘The Invisible Man’ (which is perfect because his movies have been mostly invisible at the box office, zing!) and Javier Bardem will be playing ‘Frankenstein’s Monster’. Those two will both be in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie due in theaters this weekend. Those are two BIG names to go along with Cruise and Russell Crowe, who is playing Dr. Henry Jekyll! AND, finally! We have a new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer. Check that out below! That comes to theaters on July 7.
