No NCAA Tournament bid for the Illinois State University Men’s basketball team despite winning the most games in program history and rolling into selection Sunday with a RPI of 31.

While many speculated that advancing to the MVC Championship Game should have been enough to give them at least an “At-Large” bid, the 71-51 loss to Wichita State in that championship game coupled with the MVC’s weak year as a whole proved too much to over come for the Redbirds.

Illinois State, however, was able to secure a #1 seed in the NIT (National Invitation Tournament). That means we have at least 1 more game at Red Bird Arena! ISU will take on UC Irvine this Wednesday night, March 15, at 8:30 pm.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 14 at 9 am. Lower Bowl Tickets are $15 while Upper Bowl are $10. Tickets can be purchased HERE
