Brantley’s fourth studio album was released February 27th and sold 77,000 units in the first week of release. That gives The Devil Don’t Sleep enough to debut at number one this week among country albums.

Brantley says of the new album, “Contrary to the title this is the most positive record that I think I’ve ever released. Up to this and including this record they’ve all been chapters of my life. They’ve all told my life story and like I said this one’s no different. It’s been an extremely positive chapter I feel like it took three years because I was waiting on a little bit more of the bad and ugly. You know it’s all about just being on my toes and knowing that even though it has been a positive chapter that the devil don’t sleep, temptation is easy and it’s right around the corner, whatever you’re devil is.”

Brantley also makes his 3rd top five debut on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart where it comes on at #2. The Devil Don’t Sleep did rank number one overall in traditional album sales having tallied 66,000 of those traditional sales.

When it comes to the big debut for the album, Brantley says, “I have always been about taking the music to the people. Having a new album, it’s not quite complete until we take the new songs to the BG Nation. We’ve been playing some of them over the last summer, but now they’ve got the music – and they come out fully loaded to rock those songs with us. And I gotta say, this weekend, they sounded great on the songs from The Devil Don’t Sleep, which makes us feel like we really hit it with the album!”

Don’t forget that Brantley is currently on the road with his “The Devil Don’t Sleep Tour” that will stop here at the Bloomington Coliseum Friday, April 7th. Get all the concert and ticket details here.

The American Idol alum sold enough albums in the first week to make her debut at number three on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart.

The title track from Lauren’s new album is currently climbing the charts in the top 15 on the country radio airplay singles charts.

Congratulations to Brantley Gilbert on his #1 debut for The Devil Don’t Sleep and Lauren Alaina for her #3 debut with Road Less Traveled.
