The 58th Country Music Association (CMA) Awards Show dropped in viewership but still won the night in the TV ratings.
Country Music stars Luke Bryan and Lainey Wilson along with Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning hosted the annual salute to country music’s best artists and music for the previous year.
The 2024 CMA Awards Show had 6.08 million people tune in, a drop of 11% in viewership from 2023. However, that was still enough for it to beat the second-place show for the night, Survivor, by nearly two million viewers according to thetvratingsguide.com.
It was also nice to see an awards show provide entertainment without the divisiveness of politically charged lecturing that has been so prevalent on other awards shows. In fact, Luke, Lainey and Peyton made it clear early on that they had no intentions of discussing politics during the show…
