Blake Shelton is dropping a new single this Friday, November 15th!

Blake left his longtime record label Warner Music Nashville in September and signed with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. It did not take long for him to get new music ready with his new recording home.

This Friday Blake with drop the song “Texas” as his first single with his new record label. A press release about the song states, “The fresh and addictive song captures the classic theme of lost love with a twist and nod to George Strait.”

Blake said that his new single “Texas” is, “‘a song about a guy whose girl just completely went missin’. And the only place that he can imagine she would have wound up has to be somewhere in the state of Texas. Because, that’s what we all learned from George Strait.”

He added, ““This is the perfect opportunity to come back with something so different, and it easily felt like it should be the first single. It’s connected with what I’ve done but moves forward at the same time, and it’s the perfect start to the next chapter of my career.”

With 29 #1 singles, Blake recently topped the charts with Post Malone and the smash hit “Pour Me A Drink.” There is no doubt that he is hoping that “Texas” will become his 30th number one.

Listen to B104 all day on Friday for the World Premiere of the song!
