Cody Johnson revealed an amazing fact about the vocals we hear on his song “I’m Gonna Love You” with Carrie Underwood.

Cody was on the Kelleigh Bannen Podcast. He told her that he and Carrie had recorded their parts separately for the song. Both he and Carrie felt like something just wasn’t right with the way it all sounded. Carrie then suggested, “What if we just sing it live?”

Cody was all for it and they did. In fact, he revealed that what you hear on the recording was them singing it live to each other and in just one take.
