Halloween is Thursday and then it’s time to start planning for Thanksgiving. Make sure you factor in America’s NEW #1 Side Dish with your turkey-day meal plan!

Campbell’s® Third Annual State of the Sides Report has been released. The press release states, “This year’s report focuses on evolving trends, preferences, and traditions, offering fresh insights into regional variations. It reaffirms that side dishes are the main attraction at Thanksgiving for most.”

Stuffing/Dressing was #1 in the inaugural State of the Sides Report in 2022. It slipped back second place last year. This year it returns to the #1 spot on the top-five list.

Mashed Potatoes moved up to the top spot last year and is back at #2 on this year’s report. Sweet Potatoes moves up a spot to #3 this year and Green Bean Casserole is also up a spot to #4. Mac and Cheese takes a two-spot slide down to #5.

The report says 56% of Americans like Thanksgiving sides more than the turkey entrée itself. So, if you want a successful Holiday Dinner, make sure you have the right sides … no matter if you are serving turkey, ham or some sort of nut loaf for you vegetarians.
