Eric Church is committed to helping with rebuilding efforts in his home state of North Carolina.
In a video, he announced his long-term involvement in recovery efforts in North Carolina with his plan called “Blueprint for the Blue Ridge” through his Chief Cares Fund.
Eric explains in a video that the communities where he is from are full of hard-working, proud people that rely on each other. “When Hurricane Helen happened it devastated those communities,” Eric says, adding, “Any time a community needs help, it’s always the community next door that comes running to help. And, there are no communities next door. They’ve all been devastated. So, we’ve made it our mission at Chief Cares that we’re gonna be the community next door.” Watch the entire video here.
The Chief Cares website states they will “start by immediately building homes for 100 families in Avery County and the surrounding areas, and keeping these communities preserved and rebuilt.” However, Eric and the Chief Cares Fund are committed to long-term help including “creating jobs, rebuilding schools, and supporting local businesses.”
