If you go see the new Venom: The Last Dance movie today, you will hear a very familiar song in it.
Post Malone’s debut country single “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen is featured in the movie. The Venommovie TikTik shared the promo below earlier this week with the song.
The description for the video says, “Teamwork makes the dream work. Hear “I Had Some Help” by #PostMalone x #MorganWallen in #Venom: The Last Dance, exclusively in theatres this Thursday”
The song’s lyrics seem to align well with the movie. Both are based on a love-hate type relationship. This section of the song’s lyrics really seems to connect to the relationship between “Eddie Brock” and “Venom” (played by Tom Hardy).
You thought I’d take the blame for us a-crumbling / Go ’round like you ain’t guilty of somethin’ / Already lost the game that you been runnin’ / Guess it’s catchin’ up to you, huh / You think that you’re so innocent / After all the sh*t you did / I ain’t an angel, you ain’t heaven-sent / Can’t wash our hands of this
Songwriters: Ashley Glenn Gorley / Louis Russell Bell / Ryan Vojtesak / Austin Richard Post / Morgan Wallen / Ernest Keith Smith / Jonathan Hoskins / Chandler Paul Walters
