A would-be auto thief found himself begging the owner of a Corvette for help to get out of the car.
Julio Solano, the owner of the sports car, came back from having breakfast to find a man inside his car. He asked the man what he was doing in his car.
The man asked Julio for help to get out of the car. He told the man he wouldn’t help him get out and he was calling the police. When the police arrived, Julio then let the man out of his car to be immediately arrested,
The man is being charged with burglary and is being held on a $2,500 bond.
Julio explained that the man successfully broke in, but there was a reason he got trapped. This model of Corvette has a security feature that does not allow any of the electronics to work if the key is not in the car. What the man didn’t know is that there is a manual door release under the seat in the car.
Julio also passed on some great advice, always be aware of your surroundings including inside your car before you get in.
