Last night was the 2024 Emmy Awards. Jelly Roll sang his song “I Am Not Okay” live for the “In Memoriam” tribute.

Jelly Roll started the tribute by saying,

“I believe that music can heal. I also believe that storytelling is just as cathartic. I hope that this song can act as a healing moment for those mourning the storytellers we’ve lost this year. If you are feeling lost or alone tonight, I want you to know it’s OK to not always be OK.”

While the tribute was quite touching, it was not without controversy. Not because of Jelly Roll, because of some omissions.

Fans are furious over The Shining star Shelley Duvall not being included. Another notable omission was SCTV cast member Joe Flaherty.
