The Evergreen Cemetery Walk is a nationally recognized, award-winning annual event that brings the voices of McLean County’s history to life. It is a collaboration between the McLean County Museum of History, Illinois Voices Theatre, and Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, and serves about 3,000 people annually, most of whom are students.
Get your tickets to enjoy the final year of the Evergreen Cemetery Walk where costumed actors portray people from McLean County’s past to illustrate the impact the people of McLean County have had locally, nationally, and even internationally. Volunteer guides will lead groups through the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery and share the history of the cemetery, funerary customs, and introduce the characters.
Can’t make it to the in-person Walk? With the support of Normal Township, the Museum is excited to offer once again an opportunity to experience this award-winning event virtually. Beginning on November 4, the 2024 Virtual Evergreen Cemetery Walk will be available to stream at your convenience. Tickets for the Virtual Walk can be purchased at mchistory.org.
