Singer-songwriter and Illinois native Drew Baldridge has made country music history with his song “She’s Somebody’s Daughter.”

Drew was born in Patoka, Illinois July 29, 1991. As a teenager he performed at local talent contests. Drew moved to Nashville when he was 18 to pursue his dream of being a country music singer. He appeared to be on the way when he was signed to Cold River records and released his debut studio album Dirt On Us in 2016. Unfortunately, Cold River closed their doors in 2019 leaving Drew without a label.

Drew decided to launch his own label called Lyric Ridge in 2020. He reimagined and re-recorded the song “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” which he originally cut for Cold River. The song became a viral sensation online. Country radio began playing it as a result.

This week, “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” by Drew Baldridge became the #1 song on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart for country radio airplay. That makes Drew the first independent artist in history to reach number one that chart. He also sets a new high mark for independent artists on the Billboard Country Airplay chart where he is at #3 this week.
