Luke Bryan joked about his advice for new American Idol judge Carrie Underwood in a recent interview.
The country singer joked, “[Call] up her therapist. If she has a therapist, she’s probably going to have to double to deal with me and Lionel [Richie]. Maybe I should credit her. Do therapists do gift cards where I can call her therapist and gift her a voucher?”
When the next season of Idol premieres next year, Underwood will replace Katy Perry as a judge.
In an American Idol promo clip, Underwood remembered her time on Idol and her mother agreeing to drive her to auditions in St. Louis. “I’m proud of everything that I was able to accomplish on the show, and I’m so proud of everything that I’ve accomplished since,” said Carrie.
