Sunday night (8/4), the House of the Dragon season two finale aired on HBO. On Monday, it was announced that the series will end with season four.

In the season two finale, it appeared that a major battle between armies and dragons was about to begin when the episode ended. That has left many viewers upset according to The Hollywood Reporter.

House showrunner and co-creator Ryan Condal revealed that season three will go into production “in early 2025.” Variety reports that like season two, season three will likely have eight episodes. When season three will actually begin airing was not revealed.
