Thomas Rhett has released a new song titled “Overdrive” and the music video for it. The song is from his upcoming album About A Woman, which is set to be released on August 23rd.
TR shared, “I feel like this whole record was sort of made with a very free mindset of whatever feels good goes.”
He added, “There was no box for me, which is how it should be. It’s supposed to be fun. I wrote ‘Overdrive’ at a writing camp in Chattanooga with a couple buddies of mine [and] if you know me, you know I’m a sucker for nostalgia.”
TR continued, “This song is just the adrenaline and the feeling of going and picking a girl up on the first date… no matter what plans you had with your friends, they just get completely destroyed if a girl calls you.”
Earlier this week he even posted a picture on social media of himself and his wife from their high school days together.
