There are things that we didn’t like as children … homework, all the rules your mean parents made you follow, cleaning your room and other chores. However, there were also plenty of things that were great about being a kid that we didn’t realize until we became adults.
BuzzFeed combed through an online thread about the things we adults miss about being a kid. Here are ten that caught my eye.
1. Not having to pay for anything.
2. Falling asleep in the car and magically waking up in bed.
3. Your knees and back not aching constantly.
4. Not having to decide what to cook every day.
5. Not knowing how insane the world is. Or at least not worrying about it since the adults were in charge.
6. Summer break.
7. Evenings and weekends were wide open.
8. For those who are middle-aged and up, not feeling the pressured to be in constant contact. In other words, before social media and smartphones life was simpler.
9. Naps.
10. The magic of birthdays and Christmas.
