Lainey Wilson was a recent guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show and she shared her feeling about Kelly’s cover of “Heart Like A Truck.”

Lainey says Kelly sang the song so well and “was feeling it for everything that it is.” She said that Kelly singing her song meant so much to her.

Kelly praised Lainey for “writing songs that inspire,” calling Lainey the baby of Dolly Parton and LeAnn Rhimes.

Lainey gave one last compliment, saying Clarkson is covering the songs better than the original artists, to which Kelly quickly responded, “No, I’m not.”

Lainey will kick off her “Country’s Cool Again” tour on May 31st.
