A couple in Indianapolis decided to have a pop-up wedding at a coffee shop. They didn’t even tell the people at the coffee shop it would happen.
The Mansion Society coffee shop is going viral because of the event. People are debating who is in the wrong.
The couple just showed up at the location with 20 to 30 people, an officiant and a photographer and started having the ceremony in a corner of the shop. This made it hard for customers to place orders.
The owners didn’t stop the ceremony because they were afraid that video of them doing it might cause the internet to “cancel” them. They do offer their shop for private events for a $500 fee, which the couple had not made arrangements for.
When the bride was shamed for the way she handled everything, she offered the owners $200. They asked for the full rental amount which the bride felt was “unreasonable.” People online are debating if the pop-up wedding was really such a big deal since it lasted just 20 minutes.
What do you think, should the bride pay the full $500 rental amount or are the owners overreacting to the whole thing?
