For the 12th consecutive year I (Buck Stevens) will take the Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics of Illinois. I am asking you to help me by making a donation.

Your donation will help support the more than 21,000 traditional Special Olympics athletes and 9,000 Young Athletes across the state. I will be the one getting into the freezing cold water of Miller Park Lake in Bloomington. I just need you to help me reach my annual $1,000 goal.

Bloomington Meats is stepping up once again and pledging to match up to $500 in donations! That means if I can get to the $500 mark with your help, Bloomington Meats will get me to my $1,000 goal with their donation.

Last year I raised the most I have ever raised with $2,000 for Special Olympics of Illinois. I said I would never raise my annual $1,000 goal when I started doing this. However, the more money raised, the more help that goes to the Special Olympics athletes. So, if I can have another record year that would be great!
