Which do you prefer a real Christmas tree or a fake one?

A new poll revealed that 48% of us prefer an artificial Christmas tree. There were 40% that prefer a real one. 13% said they were not sure.

The poll revealed that men and young adults were more likely to prefer real Christmas trees.

The poll did not address WHY we prefer the type of Christmas tree we do. Do you prefer a real one for the smell? Do you prefer fake because it is easier to maintain?

They did ask about price and sustainability. 63% of the people said that since artificial trees can last for multiple years, they considered them a better value. However, 19% responded that they felt a real tree was less expensive.

When it comes to the environment, 47% felt that reusable fake trees were better since you don’t cut down a living tree. The other side of the question was the 33% that said using a real tree cuts down on plastic. There were 19% that were not sure.
