Tim McGraw gave fans a gift days before Thanksgiving. He unexpectedly released Poet’s Resumé, a six-song EP.
The new EP features Nashville’s top songwriters and McGraw’s favorite collaborators. Lori McKenna (who penned McGraw’s “Humble and Kind”), Steve Dorff, Tom Douglas, and others wrote songs.
Poet’s Resumé concludes McGraw’s busy and successful year. After releasing his Standing Room Only album in late August, its title track became his 47th No. 1 hit in November.
“In the spirit of being thankful, I’m so grateful for all of you and the ways you have supported me, my family and my music thru the years,” the singer stated in a handwritten message posted to social media, where he announced the new project and shared the cover art. McGraw is still prioritizing his Standing Room Only tour, beginning in March 2024 with opener Carly Pearce.
