Darius Rucker appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” this week to discuss his latest album, Carolyn’s Boy. 

Darius talked with Kelly about the spooky encounter he had in his dorm. 

“My grandmother had died. And I wake up one night, three o’clock in the morning, and I look at the edge of my bed. My grandmother’s sitting there,” he told Clarkson. “I sit up, and I wipe my eyes, and I go, ‘wow,’ and she’s still sitting there.”

He tried to jump into the bed of his fellow Hootie and the Blowfish bandmate because the encounter terrified him so badly.

“I run to Dean’s room, and I was like, ‘Dean, my grandmother’s ghost is in my room. Can I sleep in your bed?’ He went, ‘No!’ [So] I went on the couch.”
